Job summary

Sierra, a leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, is seeking a Software Engineer for its Cloud Infrastructure team in San Francisco. You will own the foundation for Sierra's multi-tenant and single-tenant environments, spanning AWS, GCP, and soon Azure, and drive deployments across regions to support high-scale customers.

You'll write production Go code, improve tooling, and build guardrails to ensure reliability and compliance while collaborating with the BYOC team to integrate

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on software or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Broad infrastructure experience on at least one major cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Deep expertise in at least one layer of the stack (compute, orchestration, networking, or deploys).
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and container orchestration.
• Strong coding skills with a bias toward automation and tooling; Go is a plus.
• Adaptable to new clouds, tools, and customer requirements.
• A degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Sierra’s cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP (and Azure).
• Simplify deployments to be repeatable across regions and environments.
• Stand up multi-tenant and single-tenant environments for regulated customers.
• Help build compliant environments (FedRAMP deployment).
• Own and improve deploys and releases across the fleet; invest in tooling and developer experience.
• Build security guardrails for enterprise customers in multi-tenant environments.
• Collaborate with BYOC team to deploy into customer clouds.
• Drive reliability through observability, incident response, and postmortems.
• Write production Go code to automate infrastructure and reduce manual work.
