Job summary

F5 is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to drive customer success from post-sale onboarding through implementation for clients in the EST time zone. You will serve as the primary technical contact, guiding solutions with Sales, Engineering, Services, and Product while shaping the long-term customer journey in a fast-growing AI security market.

You will own technical onboarding, plan structured implementations, manage risks, and ensure customers realize First Time to Value quickly.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a post-sales technical role (e.g., TAM, Solutions Engineer, Integration Engineer, Implementation Consultant, or similar).
• Experience building and/or deploying AI systems or applications.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure (networking, containers, security protocols).
• Experience leading technical deployments (on-prem, hybrid, or complex SaaS integrations).
• Experience with enterprise customers in regulated industries (AI/ML or cybersecurity products a plus).
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high-growth environment with ambiguity and self-direction.
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical onboarding and implementation for new customers with planning and milestones.
• Own post-sales technical relationship as main point of contact for customer engineering and security teams.
• Develop and execute structured implementation plans to achieve quick and reliable time to value.
• Proactively manage blockers and escalations with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Services and Product for seamless handoffs and knowledge sharing.
• Document repeatable processes, technical guides, and internal runbooks.
• Coordinate support needs and triage technical issues with Support and Development teams.
• Act as customer advocate to inform roadmap and future services.
