Job summary

Pearson is hiring a forward deployed engineer for the PSG-CP team to rapidly translate problems into working software directly with customers. You will own the full stack, from frontend to deployment, and build production AI applications on frontier LLMs with real-world impact.

You will operate autonomously in ambiguous environments, collaborating with business stakeholders and engineering teams to ship end-to-end solutions that address critical workflows and data challenges.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping production systems end to end.
• Strong CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system design).
• Frontend depth with React and TypeScript; well-structured components.
• Backend depth across Node.js, Java, and Python; API design and auth.
• Production LLM experience with prompts, agents, retrieval, and deployment.
• Data fluency with Python data tooling and databases.
• Cloud and deployment fluency (AWS/GCP/Azure); real URL behind auth; CI/CD, containers.
• Integration experience with SSO, OAuth, APIs and legacy systems.
• High agency and collaboration across large teams; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Go where the problem is and design end-to-end systems for internal stakeholders.
• Conduct real discovery by sitting with users and translating needs into buildable software.
• Ship working software quickly; provide tangible feedback over wireframes.
• Handle messy inputs and turn them into coherent production features.
• Deliver real AI applications on frontier LLMs and agent architectures.
