Job summary

NxT Level is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our applied AI efforts for the architecture, engineering, and construction ecosystem in New York City. You will embed with civil, structural, and MEP teams to understand workflows and identify high-leverage AI opportunities.

You will own deployments end-to-end—from discovery and build through launch, debugging, and adoption—shipping practical tools in real customer environments and translating learnings back into the core product.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with the ability to ship practical products quickly.
• Excellent communication skills to build trust with non-software teams.
• Willingness to deploy in field environments and iterate from real-world feedback.
• Interest or experience with LLMs and automation to drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with engineering firms to understand workflows and pain points for AI leverage.
• Work with civil, structural, and MEP engineers to identify high-impact problems to solve.
• Own deployments end-to-end from discovery to adoption and iteration.
• Build quick, practical, customer-specific tools when needed.
• Translate customer learnings into scalable product and platform opportunities.
• Integrate with legacy AEC software and Windows-native tools.
• Develop scrapers, automation workflows, and prototyping tools to test ideas.
• Collaborate with CTO on technical direction and product decisions.
• Turn field deployments into reusable product leverage for future customers.
• Travel as needed to support deployments and relationships.
