Indicium AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer in NYC. Based in New York, you will embed within client engineering teams to transform developer experience, modernize SDLC workflows, and co-build production AI systems.

The role blends hands-on engineering with executive-facing responsibilities and requires strong ownership and AI-native fluency. You will work across Python/TypeScript/Java stacks, leverage Claude Code and Copilot, and collaborate with Anthropic field teams.

Qualifications

• Proven ownership of complex technical delivery with executive stakeholders.
• Production systems shipped in Python, TypeScript, or Java across cloud stacks.
• Fluent with Claude Code, Copilot, or agentic frameworks for AI-native workflows.
• Strong commercial instinct to identify enterprise problems and drive US market expansion.
• Domain depth in target industries or DevEx / FDE experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-native transformation within enterprise environments.
• Co-engineer production systems and refactor code in live pipelines.
• Establish and scale US accounts by driving local market growth with delivery wins.
• Codify patterns and best practices from engagements to expand the playbook.
