Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team in Fort Meade, MD. You will implement infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure reliability and scalability of services using Kubernetes and AWS.

The role requires a DoD 8140/8570 compliant mindset and strong leadership capabilities to mentor the team. The position emphasizes cloud and edge infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and collaboration with development teams to deliver robust, scalable

Qualifications

• Clearance: TS/SCI active US Government clearance; US citizenship.
• Bachelor’s or higher in a related field with years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda) and deployment of infra.
• Proficient in Terraform and Ansible for config management.
• Ability to code in Python, Bash, or Go; Linux system administration.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure deployment in AWS (EKS) and on-prem/edge infra.
• Automate deployment processes to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate applications into infra.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems for high availability.
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical guidance.
• Stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices.
• Occasionally work onsite at Fort Meade, MD; support customer needs.
