Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team in Columbia, MD. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration, AWS, CI/CD, Linux administration, and scripting in Bash or Python to implement infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure reliability and scalability.

This hybrid role averages 2–3 days per week in the office. Applicants must be able to obtain DoD 8140/8570 certifications (Security+).

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.) and applying to deployment/infra management.
• Configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Columbia, MD) and travel to Ft. Meade as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure in AWS (EKS, EC2, S3) deployment and management.
• Automate deployment processes and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliability and rapid scaling.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the operational infra.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Continuously improve tools and processes to optimize system performance.
• Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends to enhance infrastructure.
