Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to support distribution processes with efficiency and safety. You will operate material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks to move, stock and stage goods in a multi-temperature facility.

The role requires standing, lifting 10-35 lbs repeatedly and up to 60-90 lbs at times, plus the ability to work Sundays and Monday-Thursday shifts. Training and compliance with GMP and safety practices are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 12+ months of warehouse and/or distribution experience.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler and freezer).
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locates proper slot on storage racks, sets pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items.
• Transports incoming freight to inventory from staging areas for storage.
• Replenishes pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day’s work orders.
• Rotates stock to the front and removes outdated inventory according to policy.
• Inspects items for damage and performs temperature and quality checks as needed.
• Puts on required PPE and adheres to safety policies and procedures.
