Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Forklift Operator, Formula, to operate material handling equipment and move freight through our warehouse. You will load/unload, stock, and replenish items while maintaining GMP and safety standards.

The role requires forklift/pallet jack experience, ability to lift up to 90 lbs, and willingness to work in cooler, freezer, and dry environments. Training and safety protocols are emphasized, with a focus on efficient distribution operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work scheduled times and overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly (10–35 lbs, up to 60–90 lbs).
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locate proper slots on storage racks and set pallets with forklift or hand stack items.
• Count incoming freight in staging area and transport to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock according to next day’s work orders.
• Rotate date-sensitive stock to front of rack and remove outdated inventory per policy.
• Disperse over-stocked items to available slots.
• Remove empty pallets and inspect for damage; move pallets as needed.
• Follow safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform safety checks on equipment and prepare for operations.
• Wear all required PPE and safety gear.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Work from receiving sheets, procedures, and written/verbal instructions.
• Inspect items for damage and perform temperature/quality checks.
• Perform housekeeping duties in the work area.
• Replace batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
• Secure equipment and complete necessary paperwork at shift end.
