Job summary

Americold Logistics in Benson, NC is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and related equipment. You will load/unload, stack, pick orders, and verify accuracy while maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment.

Under supervision, you will meet production standards and assist with inventory, battery changes, and other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout facility.
• Effectively stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, while labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed by management.
• Operate equipment in a manner that promotes safety and meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes and may perform other duties outside of normal responsibilities as needed.
