Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) preferred.
• 1+ year of relevant experience required.
• Intermediate experience with high reach and/or counterbalance equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English.
• Comfortable using RF scanners and basic warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

• Transport palletized product within the distribution center, unload and put-away.
• Manage bulk/double-deep storage and full-pallet picking.
• Load pallets and perform replenishment as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment (high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, dock stocker).
• Use RF scanner and warehouse systems to track inventory and maintain accuracy.

• Location: North Canaan, CT 06018 – 100% on-site
• Payrate: $25.30/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time (40+ hours/week) | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Forklift Operator (Distribution Center) | Summary and Highlights:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and accurate movement of product within a distribution center environment. This role supports daily warehouse operations by transporting, staging, and replenishing inventory while maintaining quality and inventory accuracy using scanners and warehouse systems. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

Forklift Operator (Distribution Center) | Responsibilities:

• Transport palletized product within the distribution center (unload, put-away, bulk/double-deep storage, full-pallet picking, loading, replenishment)
• Operate material handling equipment (high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, dock stocker)
• Use RF scanner and warehouse systems to track inventory and maintain accuracy
• Maintain product integrity and follow site safety procedures and required PPE guidelines
• Cross-train and provide backup support in other areas as needed

Forklift Operator (Distribution Center) | Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) (preferred)
• Experience: 1+ year of relevant experience (required in lieu of High School Diploma/GED)
• Intermediate experience with high reach and/or counterbalance equipment (required)
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English
• Comfortable using RF scanners and basic computer systems
• Warehouse/WMS experience preferred (Manhattan WMS preferred)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
