Job Details

A-Line Staffing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator (Distribution Center).

This role offers career growth, a supportive work environment, and full-time hours (40+ per week).

Location: Canaan, CT 06018 - 100% on-site

Payrate: $23.00/hr

Required Availability: Full-Time | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts) Rotating schedule (includes weekends)

Summary and Highlights

The Forklift Operator (Distribution Center) is responsible for the safe, accurate movement of palletized product throughout the warehouse, including unloading, put-away, replenishment, and loading. This role uses an RF scanner and warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory and maintain product integrity while following all site safety procedures. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• 1+ year of relevant warehouse/forklift experience
• Intermediate experience operating either high reach or counterbalance equipment
• Ability to obtain forklift certification (site requirement)
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English
• Comfortable using RF scanners and basic computer/WMS systems (Manhattan WMS experience a plus)
• Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
