Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Fayetteville, NC, seeks a yard/ forklift operator to support precast production by moving and organizing inventory in a safe, efficient way. You will assist in loading, unloading, staging, and delivering materials, while maintaining a clean, orderly yard and adhering to safety procedures.

The role requires experience with heavy equipment, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs., and strong teamwork to coordinate with delivery and customer service staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts with >18k lb. capacity preferred.
• Prior experience utilizing loaders preferred.
• Knowledge of basic math and measurements.
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial forklift and loader to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load orders.
• Pull and stage orders for shipment.
• Load customer trucks based on ship tickets.
• Push aggregate material utilizing a loader.
• Complete weekly equipment inspections.
• Keep area safe, clean and organized.
• Interface with customer service, technical service, and delivery personnel.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
