Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a dependable yard technician to support production of precast concrete products. You will operate forklifts and loaders to move inventory, stage orders and assist in loading customer trucks.

This non-exempt, full-time role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient material handling in an industrial environment. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and earlier experience with heavy equipment or loaders is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts with >18k lb capacity preferred.
• Prior experience utilizing loaders preferred.
• Knowledge of basic math and measurements.
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial forklift and loader to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load orders.
• Pull and stage orders for shipment.
• Load customer trucks based on ship tickets.
• Push aggregate material utilizing a loader.
• Complete weekly equipment inspections.
• Keep area safe, clean and organized.
• Interface with customer service, technical service, and delivery personnel.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
