Job summary

Johnstone Supply, a leading HVACR distributor, seeks a Material Handler II to handle inbound/outbound warehouse tasks. The role focuses on receiving, filling, and shipping products accurately, with abilities in forklift operation, stock replenishment, and documentation while maintaining a safe, organized facility.

Responsibilities include selecting and packing orders, inspecting shipments, and ensuring accurate labeling and paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and competently.
• Preferred: experience with inventory management systems; knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry; familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates power equipment (forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack) to locate, put away, stock, and move products; maintain stock accuracy.
• Receives product by unloading trucks and checking shipments.
• Verifies quantities and condition, packages paperwork for reimbursements or discrepancies.
• Ensures bar codes, labels, stock numbers are readable and correctly applied.
• Picks, packs, cartons, and loads orders; documents shipments.
• Maintains safety standards and uses MSDS where required; reports safety concerns.
• Maintains equipment, clean work area, and participates in cycle counts and related projects.
• Adheres to company values and professional communication with customers and coworkers.
