Job summary

Johnstone Supply, North America's leading HVACR distributor, has a great opportunity for a Material Handler I to join our warehouse team. The role covers receiving, filling, and shipping products with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, unloading shipments, inspecting condition, labeling with stock numbers, packing orders, and assisting with inventory cycle counts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0–1 year related experience preferred.
• Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory systems is a plus.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment (forklift, electric pallet Jack) to move and store products.
• Receive shipments by unloading trucks and documenting received items.
• Verify orders against packing lists and complete required paperwork.
• Label products with barcodes and stock numbers; resolve labeling issues.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment; ensure proper packaging to avoid damage.
• Participate in cycle counts and inventory accuracy projects.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report safety concerns to supervisors.
