Job summary

State of Washington is seeking a Psychologist – Forensic Evaluator in the Office of Forensic Mental Health Services (OFMHS) to perform competency and related forensic evaluations for the courts across the state. Qualifications

• Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Psychology.
• Licensed or able to obtain a license to practice psychology in Washington.
• Strong clinical skills in interviewing, diagnostic clarification, and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Complete forensic evaluations focused on competency to stand trial and related assessments.
• Collaborate with forensic evaluators across Washington state.
• Prepare for and provide expert witness testimony as requested or subpoenaed.
• Submit forensic evaluation reports including psycho-legal opinions to the court.
