Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a helpful retail associate to provide outstanding customer service and support in-store operations. You will help customers find the right footwear, explain promotions, and maintain organized merchandise displays.

The role requires strong communication, math and organizational skills, plus prior retail experience. You will participate in inventories, handle POS transactions, and contribute to a positive shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and employees.
• Basic verbal and non-verbal communication, organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through service standards.
• Maintain awareness of current promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and stock organization; ensure area cleanliness.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Participate in inventories, assist in shipping/receiving merchandise, and merchandise placement on sales floor.
• Process all sales at the POS in accordance with policy and ensure shoes are mates.
