Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a front-line associate to provide outstanding customer service and contribute to a positive shopping experience. You will drive sales while maintaining store presentation, promotions, and accurate cash handling.

You’ll also support inventories and merchandising to ensure products are properly displayed and available to customers. Ideal candidates have prior retail experience, strong communication skills, and a basic understanding of store policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic communication, organization and math abilities.
• Knowledge of store policies and procedures is advantageous.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience by adhering to service standards.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and store cleanliness.
• Develop product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Maintain awareness of loss prevention concerns.
• Assist in inventories, shipping/receiving, and merchandise placement as needed.
• Process sales at the POS in accordance with policy; ensure shoes are matched.
