Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a sales associate to uphold our service standards and help customers find the right footwear. You will lead by example, meet sales and work goals, and process transactions accurately at the POS.

You’ll maintain merchandise presentation, stay aware of promotions, and support store operations including stock, cleanliness, and loss prevention. Strong interpersonal, communication, and math skills are essential, with prior retail experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and staff.
• Basic communication, organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably footwear.
• Familiarity with store policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising and store presentation awareness.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through service standards and awareness of promotions.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised; keep areas clean.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Assist in inventories, shipping/receiving, and merchandise placement.
• Process all sales and POS transactions accurately and ensure shoes are paired correctly.
