Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is hiring a Sales Associate to uphold our service standards and help customers find the right footwear. You will meet sales goals, assist in promoting store initiatives, and model accuracy and reliability in day-to-day tasks.

You will handle cash and POS transactions, maintain merchandise presentation, and participate in inventory and stock replenishment. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, basic math, and prior experience in retail footwear.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Basic communication and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably footwear.
• Knowledge of store policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and store presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers and promote loyalty programs and store initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of current promotions.
• Keep merchandise well presented, organized, and clean.
• Develop product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Be aware of loss prevention concerns for customers and staff.
• Assist in inventories, shipping/receiving, and floor merchandising.
• Process sales with accuracy and confidentiality at the POS.
