Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is hiring a Sales Associate to support daily store operations and deliver excellent customer service. You will assist customers with product knowledge, promote rewards programs, and help maintain attractive merchandise presentation on the sales floor.

Responsibilities include processing sales, handling POS transactions, and supporting loss prevention while following company policies and procedures. This role requires teamwork and a positive attitude to meet store goals.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with customers and all levels of employees.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal) and organizational skills.
• Math skills for transactions and POS accuracy.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably footwear or specialty retail.
• Awareness of store policies and procedures and basic merchandising standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience by applying service standards and knowledge of promotions.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure stock is organized and the sales floor is clean and well merchandised.
• Develop product knowledge and fitting skills for customers.
• Assist in inventory, shipping/receiving, and merchandise placement as needed.
• Process sales and POS transactions accurately and securely in line with policy.
