Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is hiring a Customer Service oriented Sales Associate to deliver an excellent shopping experience, meet sales goals, and uphold company standards. You will lead by example in accuracy of work and presentations while supporting store operations.

Responsibilities include processing sales, maintaining merchandising standards, staying informed on current promotions, and contributing to loss prevention efforts in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and staff.
• Basic verbal and non-verbal communication, organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of the policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for our customers through awareness and company service standards.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised.
• Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff members.
• Participate in inventories, assist in shipping/receiving merchandise and merchandise placement on the sales floor.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure.
