Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a team member to support customers with a positive shopping experience and adhere to store service standards. You will help with promotions, merchandise presentation, stock organization, and POS transactions, while maintaining accuracy and loss prevention awareness.

Ideal candidates have retail sales experience, especially in footwear, with solid communication and math skills and a basic understanding of company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas within the store.
• Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns.
• Participate in physical inventories and assist in receiving merchandise.
• Process sales at the POS in accordance with policy and ensure mates are checked during cashier functions.
