Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Sales Associate to uphold our service standards and help customers find the right footwear. You will lead by example in accuracy and completeness of work, handle cash, and process POS transactions according to policy.

In this role you will assist customers, stay aware of promotions, keep merchandise neatly presented, and participate in stock checks and inventories while maintaining store cleanliness and organization.

Qualifications

Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and employees.
Basic communication, organization, and math skills.
Experience in retail sales, preferably footwear.
Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards.

Responsibilities

Create an excellent shopping experience for our customers through awareness and company service standards.
Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
Maintain merchandise presentation and ensure stock is well arranged.
Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
Participate in physical inventories and assist in shipping and receiving.
Process all sales and POS transactions in accordance with policy; ensure shoes are matched.
