Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is hiring to join the sales team. You will provide friendly customer service, meet sales goals, and lead fellow team members by example in accuracy and completeness of work. You will handle cash and sales documentation with care and process transactions according to store policy.

The role emphasizes presenting merchandise, assisting customers, and maintaining stock and store presentation standards while contributing to a positive shopping experience for all guests.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with customers and employees.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of the company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through service standards and awareness.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and store cleanliness.
• Develop product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Be aware of loss prevention concerns for customers and staff.
• Assist in physical inventories, shipping/receiving, and merchandise placement as needed.
• Process all sales through POS and ensure shoes are checked for mates.
