Job summary

Community Action Partnership Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties Head Start is seeking a dedicated Laborer/Food Service helper to transport meals to satellite centers and assist the cook with daily food service operations, including dishwashing. The role is 35 hours per week, year-round, with opportunities to contribute to nutrition and safety standards.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to menus, and proper handling of food and supplies, within a supportive Head Start environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of food service experience required.
• ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport food to satellite centers and assist with kitchen cleanup and food preparation for assigned centers.
• Relate professionally with participants and coworkers, maintaining positive interpersonal communication and teamwork.
• Adhere to approved menus and dietary requirements.
• Assist in storage of deliveries and kitchen supplies.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain kitchen cleanliness per health regulations.
