IU Health University Hospital seeks a dedicated food service worker to prepare, plate, serve, and transport meals and supplies for patients, families, physicians, and staff. You will ensure timely, courteous service while upholding sanitation and infection-control standards.

The role requires operating kitchen equipment and adapting to rotating shifts, with potential for protective gear usage as required by environment and safety rules. Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred.
• No experience is required. Prior food service experience is preferred.
• Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
• Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
• Requires the ability to climb ladders.
• Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.

Overview

Position Details:

Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Part-Time, 24 hours per week.

Schedule: Rotating weekends and holidays required.

Shift Differentials: Eligible based on assigned shift.
