Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to partner with the Food Service Director in managing a large jail/correctional facility kitchen operation onsite. The role includes supervising food service staff, ensuring proper food preparation and distribution, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

The ideal candidate has strong food service management experience, ServSafe certification, and familiarity with purchasing, inventory, and health regulations.

Qualifications

• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and with food service management systems.
• We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the guidance, training, and management of the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issues corrective action to team members.
• Oversee appropriate quantities of food prepared and served according to the plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in advance preparation of planned menu schedule.
• Ensure proper storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules to ensure items are served per menu specifications safely.
• Maintain sanitary environment following health regulations.
• Responsible for state inspections of food service operation.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
