Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. is seeking a Food Service Manager for the Highlands, NJ area. The position runs Monday through Friday, day shift, 7 hours per day, with no weekends or holidays and summers off.

Duties include daily operation management, food preparation, ordering and inventory, POS support, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. Familiarity with NSLP guidelines is a plus, and ServSafe certification is preferred; must be able to obtain the necessary documentation to work in schools.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a school food service operation or similar setting.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to obtain required documents to work in schools.

Responsibilities

• Managing the operation on a daily basis.
• Cooking - Food preparation, cooking a variety of foods, following recipes, portion control, production standards according to the NSLP guidelines.
• Ordering - Placing orders, inventory, assist in marketing promotions.
• POS/Register - Assist workers with cash collection, follow recording keeping procedures.
• Safety - Endure all personal protection equipment is in use at all times
• Cleanliness - maintain a clean and safe kitchen at all times.
• Staffing - secure food service workers, and substitutes.
