Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. in Asbury, NJ is seeking a Food Service Manager for our school program. The role is weekday, day shift, six hours per day with summers off and no weekend shifts.

You will oversee daily operations, food preparation following NSLP guidelines, ordering and inventory, cash handling with POS, safety gear, cleanliness, and staffing. ServSafe certification is a plus, and you must be able to obtain school work documentation.

Job description

Food Service Manager needed for school food service in the Asbury, NJ area. Monday through Friday, day shift, 6 hours daily. No weekends or holidays. Summers off.

ServSafe® Certification a plus. Must be comfortable working in a fast pace team environment. Able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools

Duties to Include:

• Managing the operation on a daily basis.
• Cooking - Food preparation, cooking a variety of foods, following recipes, portion control, production standards according to the NSLP guidelines.
• Ordering - Placing orders, inventory, assist in marketing promotions.
• POS/Register - Assist workers with cash collection, follow recording keeping procedures.
• Safety - Endure all personal protection equipment is in use at all times
• Cleanliness - maintain a clean and safe kitchen at all times.
• Staffing - secure food service workers, and substitutes.
