Job summary

Solenis is seeking a Food Service Sales Director to lead a high-performing sales team focused on growth with a major food service distributor. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive private label growth, expand customer penetration, and deliver value across independent operators and national chains.

The role requires guiding distributor sales reps to sell non-food solutions—kitchen cleaning, ware wash, and laundry—while optimizing pricing, delivery, and service performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, distribution management, or closely related channels.
• Proven ability to recruit, hire, develop, and manage sales teams.
• Ability to develop, align, and execute joint business plans with strategic customers or distribution partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a joint growth and profitability plan with the strategic distributor.
• Identify high-value opportunities across operator types and local market segments.
• Translate priorities into sales plays, resource plans, and marketing programs.
• Lead negotiations using financial analysis and distributor economics.
• Establish performance targets and shared accountability with distributor and internal teams.
• Serve as the primary liaison for the distributor relationship and lead regular business reviews.
• Provide ongoing coaching, performance management, and development planning for the team.
• Manage revenue, profitability, pipeline health, and sales performance with KPI-driven routines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations.
