Job summary

Lunds & Byerlys Northeast Minneapolis is seeking a vibrant Part-time Food Service Cook to create a sensational shopping experience for our customers. This role follows a part-time schedule and offers a competitive wage of $19.00 - $21.00 per hour, with shifts typically 3:00pm - 10:00pm.

You will prepare deli items, greet customers, slice meats and cheeses, stock and rotate products, and help maintain a clean, welcoming department in a store that operates 7 days a week from 6:00am to 10:00pm.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Customer service preferred and kitchen/food service exposure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deli items and chef-created recipes.
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner.
• Slice deli meats, cheeses and breads.
• Stock, rotate and stage deli products for quality and freshness.

Lunds & Byerlys Northeast Minneapolis is currently hiring for a vibrant and outgoing Part-time Food Service Cook to create a sensational shopping experience for our customers! This position works a part-time schedule and earns a competitive wage of $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

We operate 7 days/week and are open from 6:00am-10:00pm. For this position the employee would be scheduled a range of shifts between 3:00pm - 10:00pm.

FOOD SERVICE COOK RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Food Service Cooks are responsible for a wide variety of tasks such as:

• Preparing chef-created deli recipes
• Greeting and assisting customers
• Slicing deli meats, cheeses, and breads
• Stocking, rotating, and staging deli merchandise to ensure quality and freshness
• Creating a welcoming and safe environment
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the department

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education:
   1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Experience:
   1. Customer service experience preferred
   2. Minimum of one (1) years cooking experience in deli or food service
3. Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
   1. Ability to obtain Food Safety Certification
   2. Communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
