Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Food Runner to support restaurant operations by serving and replenishing food items while maintaining cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You will handle guest transactions and assist in smooth register operations as part of daily tasks under the Restaurant Manager.

The role emphasizes greeting guests warmly, maintaining sanitation, stocking areas, and ensuring accurate knowledge of menu pricing and item locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food service environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) required.
• Ability to work flexible schedules; including holidays, weekends, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Restaurant Manager for daily tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge guests as they enter the restaurant with a warm, welcoming manner.
• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness.
• Assists in storing deliveries.
• Responsible for stocking condiments and utensils in the beverage area.
• Filing of coffee and teapots.
• Knows front and back of house, storage area and ice room.
• Maintain appearance of patio furniture and manage opening/closing of umbrellas.
• Responsible for pulling in signs and shutting down the Food Pavilion.
• Knowledge of menu pricing, item locations, and specials.
• Know how each product is prepared along with its condiments.
• Know how to operate all line equipment.
• Exhibits a can-do attitude and total cooperation.
• Reports safety issues and quality/spoilage issues.
