Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure safety, quality, and compliance of food products at our Boise facility.

You will conduct inspections, tests, and audits throughout production, maintain records, and train staff on quality practices. You will monitor critical control points, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to GMP and HACCP standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training or certification in food production is a plus.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain thorough records of inspection and testing activities, including results, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Monitor critical control points and production parameters to identify and address deviations from standards; collaborate with production to implement corrective actions.
• Verify sanitation standards and GMP compliance; report sanitation issues to appropriate personnel.
• Assist in HACCP plans, participate in HACCP meetings, and help identify hazards and control measures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in quality-related projects with cross-functional teams.
• Provide training to production personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
