Job summary

Malley's Chocolates is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.

You will conduct routine inspections, respond to breakdowns, and collaborate with the production team for process improvements while maintaining records and safety compliance. Training will be provided to stay current with industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician in manufacturing, preferably in the food or confectionery industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
• Electrical maintenance and PLCs familiarity.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours emergency calls.
• Understanding of GMPs, HACCP, OSHA—Training will be provided.
• Must have basic understanding of English verbal and written comprehension skills.
• Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift up-to 50 pounds.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of production machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules to prevent equipment failure and minimize downtime.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to restore functionality.
• Collaborate with the production team to identify opportunities for process improvement and equipment optimization.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of production equipment as needed.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and stay updated on industry best practices.
