Job summary

Malley’s Chocolates in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function for Brook Park manufacturing and warehouse operations. You will develop the maintenance team, improve equipment reliability, and plan preventive maintenance to support safe, consistent chocolate production and seasonal demand.

The role blends leadership with hands-on troubleshooting, repairing and preventive maintenance alongside the team.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with technical training or apprenticeship.
5+ years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience.
At least 2 years leading maintenance employees or coordinating a team.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with motors, drives, sensors, controls, pneumatics, hydraulics.
Ability to read manuals, drawings, and electrical schematics; know when to escalate to licensed professionals.
Experience planning preventive maintenance, managing work orders and parts, and documenting repairs.

Responsibilities

Lead daily maintenance activities and prioritize work with Operations.
Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate daily technical work.
Coach and cross-train team; document procedures and build skills.
Collaborate with HR and Director of Operations on recruiting and performance reviews.
Review timecards, schedules, and overtime; communicate staffing needs.
Coordinate preventive maintenance and oversee equipment reliability across production lines.
Ensure safety and food production standards in all maintenance activities.
Maintain maintenance records and support audits; manage budget and spending.
