Job summary

Malley's Chocolates is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.

You will conduct routine inspections, respond to breakdowns, and collaborate with the production team for process improvements while maintaining records and safety compliance. Training will be provided to stay current with industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician in manufacturing, preferably in the food or confectionery industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
• Electrical maintenance and PLCs familiarity.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours emergency calls.
• Understanding of GMPs, HACCP, OSHA—Training will be provided.
• Must have basic understanding of English verbal and written comprehension skills.
• Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift up-to 50 pounds.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of production equipment as needed.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

Familiarity with electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.5. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.6. Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours emergency calls.7. Understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., GMPs, HACCP, ODA, OSHA – Training will be provided).8. Must have basic understanding of English verbal and written comprehension skills.9. Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift up-to 50 pounds.10. Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time.11. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.12.
