Job summary

Shorr Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Food Packaging Product Manager in Los Angeles to combine deep technical knowledge of primary food packaging with strong commercial instincts.

You will work directly with customers, sales professionals, suppliers, and internal teams to identify opportunities, develop packaging solutions, support trials and conversions, and grow the food packaging business.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in primary food packaging.
• Strong technical knowledge of flexible and/or rigid packaging.
• Experience working directly with customers on packaging specifications, trials, or new-product applications.
• Ability to translate technical packaging knowledge into commercial opportunities and customer solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-directed, entrepreneurial approach with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and convert opportunities for primary food packaging (flexible/rigid).
• Partner with sales to uncover opportunities within accounts and target new customers.
• Drive growth in sales, margins, and customer relationships.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of packaging projects.
• Coordinate customer trials and troubleshoot technical challenges in the field.
• Provide technical support throughout the selling process from discovery to implementation.
• Educate sales teams on products, applications, and market trends.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to move opportunities to commercialization.
