This position is based in Orlando, Florida.

The Marriott Orlando Downtown Hotel in Orlando, FL is searching for a Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team. Located in the Creative Village in downtown Orlando, the hotel has 297 guest rooms with views of the downtown Orlando Skyline. This full-service Marriott Hotel features 15 meeting rooms with 15,992 sq. ft of space, an onsite Starbucks, Shade Bar and Grill, Fitness Center, and Outdoor Pool.

Job Purpose

Our Food and Beverage Supervisor assists the Food and Beverage Manager in ensuring that operations in the Restaurant, Bar, Fresh Bites, MClub, and Starbucks run smoothly and that our guests enjoy their experience. The goal is to create a motivational work environment for our talented associates so they can create memorable experiences for our guests.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Supervise the operations of the Restaurant, Bars, Fresh Bites, Starbucks, and MClub to ensure excellent service from entry to departure.
  2. Prepare and sell coffee drinks, such as espresso, caffe latte, and cappuccino, following prescribed recipes and techniques.
  3. Be a hands-on supervisor and resource for associates, understanding their roles well enough to perform duties in their absence.
  4. Meet guests during meals or upon departure to gather feedback on food, beverage, service, and overall experience.
  5. Respond to guest requests, problems, and concerns courteously and efficiently, following up to ensure satisfaction.
  6. Collaborate with Restaurant and Assistant Managers to communicate guest satisfaction results, including comment cards and guest letters.
  7. Create an engaging environment where motivated people want to join, learn, and advance.
  8. Display positive leadership to attract, retain, and motivate staff; handle scheduling, training, development, coaching, and counseling.
  9. Ensure proper checkout procedures and completion of side work.
  10. Promote recognition across areas of responsibility.
  11. Implement processes and training to ensure a high-quality dining experience, from greeting to payment and invitation to return.
  12. Understand the impact of F&B operations on the property's financial goals.
  13. Follow procedures for payroll processing to ensure correct payment.
  14. Ensure compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards, and procedures, including food handling and sanitation standards.
  15. Ensure staff understands and complies with local, state, and federal liquor laws.
  16. Perform other reasonable duties as requested.
