A leading resort is seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional service and staff training. The ideal candidate will have restaurant management experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for hospitality. This role offers flexible hours and a supportive work environment.
- To supervise and advise the Restaurant Servers, Room Service, Banquet, Host/Hostess, Bartenders in the daily duties to ensure professional, competent, and prompt service to guests.
- Be on the floor during all meal periods and ensure adequate coverage.
- Open and close shift in accordance with manager’s checklist.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all associates and guests.
- Train and develop staff in areas such as customer service, food handling, and safety procedures.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure room service is fully staffed and able to handle volume of business; periodically check and assist when necessary.
- Monitor hours, staffing overtime on a daily basis for restaurant, room service, bartenders, as it relates to sales and profits.
- Gather and implement all proper tools for running shifts (schedules, floor plan, res. checks).
- During shifts, ensure that guests are satisfied by assisting with service, seating, and communication with kitchen and by striving to speak to all guests.
- Utilize POS system to process orders, payments, and track sales.
- Previous experience in restaurant management or a related field.
- Food handler and alcohol certificate are a plus (ServSafe, TiPS).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
- A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional customer service.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
