Job summary

Corner Bakery Cafe in Plano, TX is seeking a Front of House Expo team member to manage ticket times, ensure order accuracy, and prep and present food to guests with a friendly, attentive demeanor. You will support expo operations, assist with catering deliveries, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and guest service.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, ability to read/write/speak English, and basic math.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass CBC driver training and maintain a valid driver’s license with insurance.
• State Foodhandler/ServSafe certification as applicable.
• Preferably 3 months’ guest service experience; restaurant/retail preferred.
• Strong guest service, communication, and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages ticket times and speed of service.

• Returns food made improperly or not to temperature spec.
• Pulls bread wrap.
• Prepares food (soups, salads, beverages, wrap pickles, bread, etc.).
• Stocks and sets the expo line throughout the shift.

• Friendly, smiling, takes appropriate action at guest requests.
• Supports and promotes company initiatives.
• Maintains front-of-house displays and condiment stations.
• Checks bathrooms.
• Busses tables.
• Cleans, mops and sweeps as assigned.
• Takes catering deliveries.

The FOH Expo is responsible for ensuring food is properly prepared and served to the guest.

Secondary Functions: Cashier, Catering Delivery

• Maintains abundant FOH displays and condiment stations
• Checks bathrooms
• Busses tables
• Cleaning, mopping and sweeping as assigned
• Takes catering deliveries

Job Specifications and Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent or in pursuit of same
• Must be able to complete CBC driver training, pass a MVR according to CBC standards and maintain a valid drivers’ license with insurance (now or when eligible to drive for CBC)
• State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
• Preferably a minimum of 3 months' work experience in a guest service capacity. Restaurant or retail environment preferred
• Possess strong guest service and communication skills
• Organized and detail oriented
• Computer literate; proficient in use of POS – Point of Sale systems
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Must be proficient in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
