Job summary

Corner Bakery Cafe in Plano, TX is seeking a dependable dishwasher/kitchen helper to support daily kitchen operations and guest service. You will wash dishes, pots and pans, keep stations clean, and assist with basic food preparation to help the kitchen run smoothly.

Candidates should understand English and have a High School diploma or be pursuing one. Restaurant or retail experience is a plus; CBC driver training and ServSafe may be required or encouraged, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must understand English to communicate with teammates and guests

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots and pans and maintain clean work areas
• Use sanitizers and cleaning chemicals per procedure
• Assist with basic food preparation
• Provide friendly, positive guest interactions
• Assist with receiving, checking in and storing deliveries and ingredients
• Support with bussing tables and light maintenance as needed
• Undertake secondary functions such as Serving Attendant and custodial tasks

Job description

Washes dishes, pots and pans. Bakes cookies, cakes, and breads and preps Panini. Prepares other foods under direction of store Manager.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Cleans dishes, pots and pans
• Use of chemicals (mostly sanitizers and soaps)
• Ability to understand and follow cleaning procedures
• Assist with food preparation
• Smile, friendly guest interaction
• Assist with receiving, checking in and putting away deliveries and ingredients

• Serving Attendant

• Busses tables
• Light Maintenance

Job Specifications and Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent or in pursuit of same
• Must be able to complete CBC driver training, pass a MVR according to CBC standards and maintain a valid drivers’ license with insurance (now or when eligible to drive for CBC)
• State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
• Preferably a minimum of 3 months' work experience in a guest service capacity. Restaurant or retail environment preferred
• Possess strong guest service and communication skills
• Must be able to understand English
