Job summary

Corner Bakery Cafe in Plano, TX is seeking team members to handle guest service and kitchen support. You will review prep sheets, prepare items to order, assist FOH/BOH, and help with deliveries and set up for next day orders. Strong communication, math, and basic computer/POS skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete CBC driver training and pass a MVR with a valid CBC driver's license and insurance.
• State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable.
• Preferably a minimum of 3 months work experience in guest service or restaurant/retail.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Computer literate; proficient in POS systems.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Responsibilities

• Review prep sheets for food preparation and ensure items are prepared to order.
• Begin and complete baking/food preparation as directed.
• Assemble catering food in baskets, trays and bowls.
• Make deliveries by vehicle or by food as assigned.
• Prepare breakfast and lunch and set up for next day orders.
• Work FOH or BOH as required; manage secondary functions.
• Participate in cleanup duties and trash removal.

• Responsible for breakfast and lunch preparation and set up for next day orders
• Works FOH or BOH as required (secondary functions listed below)
• Responsible for clean up duties
• Empties trash as required

Job Specifications and Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to complete CBC driver training, pass a MVR according to CBC standards and maintain a valid drivers' license with insurance
• State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
• Preferably a minimum of 3 months work experience in a guest service capacity. Restaurant or retail environment preferred
• Possess strong guest service and communication skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Computer literate; proficient in use of POS - Point of Sale systems.
