Job summary

The Buttery is a Bryn Mawr, PA cafe seeking a Front of House Team Member to welcome guests, take orders, and support smooth service from register to table. You’ll be at the center of daily operations, sharing knowledge of our food, beverages, and retail offerings while keeping displays stocked and inviting.

This role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and continuous learning—especially around coffee and tea.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in high-volume coffee or a customer-facing role in food, beverage, or retail.
• Strong time management, organization, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service.
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service by greeting guests, taking accurate orders, and handling transactions.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely, thoughtful manner, with attention to presentation.
• Maintain dining areas by bussing, cleaning, and resetting tables to ensure smooth service.
• Keep front-of-house spaces clean, stocked, and visually inviting.
• Share knowledge of menu items and make thoughtful recommendations.
• Support team operations by restocking and communicating guest feedback to leadership.
• Uphold service standards by collaborating with team members and leads to ensure consistency.
• Contribute to team growth through learning, especially around coffee and tea, and assist training.
