Job summary

The Buttery in Malvern, PA is looking for an Front of House Team Member to greet guests, take orders, bus, and ensure a warm, welcoming experience. You will work at the register, run food, stock displays, and be a brand ambassador delivering hospitality across the guest journey.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service by greeting guests warmly, taking accurate orders, and handling transactions with efficiency and care.
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely, thoughtful manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
  • Maintain dining areas by bussing, cleaning, and resetting tables to support a smooth flow of service.
  • Keep front-of-house spaces—register, displays, and dining areas—clean, stocked, and visually inviting.
  • Share knowledge of menu items, make thoughtful recommendations, and answer guest questions with confidence.
  • Support team operations by restocking, assisting with service needs, and communicating guest feedback or operational concerns to leadership.
  • Uphold The Buttery’s service standards by working collaboratively with team members and Service Leads to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience.
  • Contribute to team growth through ongoing learning, especially around coffee and tea, and by supporting the training of new team members.

Description: At The Buttery, Front of House is all about creating a warm, welcoming experience for every guest while supporting a smooth, thoughtful flow of service.

In this role, you will be at the center of our daily operations. Connecting with guests, sharing knowledge of our food, beverages, and retail offerings, and ensuring every touchpoint feels intentional and hospitable. Whether you’re taking orders at the register, running food to tables, bussing and resetting the space, or keeping displays beautifully stocked, you'll play a key role in bringing The Buttery experience to life.

Overview

The FOH Team Member has a strong understanding of all food, beverage, and retail offerings at The Buttery and is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience across all areas of service. This role includes cashiering, counter service, food running, and bussing, ensuring guests feel cared for from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. FOH team members maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment while working collaboratively to keep service efficient and seamless. This person serves as a brand ambassador of The Buttery, upholding our standards of hospitality and contributing to a positive, team-oriented workplace.

Requirements:
