Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a dependable Foam Saw Operator to cut and prepare foam samples using a large industrial saw, following precise measurements and specifications. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work in a manufacturing setting.

Typical hours are 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM on first shift, with occasional Saturdays and occasional 3:00 AM start times during peak periods. Pay is $18.50 to $19.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience operating industrial saws or similar manufacturing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to measure to tight tolerances.
• Comfort around large industrial machinery.
• Willingness to work occasional Saturdays and variable start times.
• Reliable attendance and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate or assist with operating a large industrial saw to cut foam samples to specified dimensions.
• Safely handle, lift, move, and position foam materials on the saw table.
• Measure and verify sample dimensions to ensure they meet tight tolerances.
• Inspect cut samples for accuracy and identify any inconsistencies or defects.
• Follow established work instructions, quality standards, and equipment safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Communicate measurement discrepancies, equipment concerns, or quality issues to the appropriate team members.
• Assist with additional production and sample preparation duties as needed.
