Foam Products Corporation in the Bronx, NY, is hiring for a machine/saw operator to cut and shape foam to customer specifications. You will operate computerized and band saws, gather materials, and ensure high precision and clean, safe work areas.

Responsibilities include minimizing waste, maintaining equipment, and adapting to production flow changes. The role offers full-time hours with the listed schedule and immediate start.

Qualifications

• Very comfortable with basic math skills and ability to read a ruler.
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in production flow.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Quick learner, excellent attention to detail, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Machine/Saw operators run different types of foam cutting and shaping machines to convert raw blocks of foam into various shapes and sizes as required by customers.

General Responsibilities

• Evaluate orders and determine most efficient way to process and minimize waste.
• Gather raw materials necessary for order processing and return unused items to stock.
• Operate both computerized saws and traditional band saws.
• Cut/Shape foam with highest precision possible to customer specifications.
• Conduct basic scheduled maintenance for factory equipment..
• On-site attendance and punctuality required.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and clean working environment..
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Schedule: Mon-Thurs 6:30 am to 3pm; Fri- 6:30 am to 2:30pm
Salary: $20 - $24 hourly
