Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Manager of the multi-discipline fluids design team within the Lunar Permanence unit. You will set technical and product directions, develop engineers, and oversee fluids components for the MK1 Lunar Lander from design through testing and production support.

You will lead hiring, performance management, training, and career development while driving process improvements and tool development across the component life cycle. Travel up to 15% and U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical, or Physics preferred).
• 5+ years in aerospace or related field with leadership experience.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, manufacturing, and materials processing.
• Familiar with GD&T, CAD tools, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Proven ability to lead engineers, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Set technical and product directions for the fluids design team and mentor staff.
• Lead design, manufacturing, testing, and supplier activities across life cycle phases.
• Provide day-to-day direction and improve engineering processes and tools.
• Support root-cause analyses, data reviews, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate across disciplines to meet program delivery needs and travel up to 15%.
