Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to join the Fluid Solutions team in a structured Sales Development Program. You’ll train at a local branch, shadow sales and operations, and progress through outbound campaigns across North America.

You’ll learn to use our CRM, inventory platforms, customer portal, and mobile apps while developing relationship-building skills to drive customer success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing sales role preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proficient computer and mobile device skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Begin your training at a local branch, shadowing both sales and operational roles to gain an inside-out understanding of the full equipment-rental lifecycle.
• Join peers across North America for a digital onboarding class to sharpen sales techniques and collaboration.
• Progress through outbound sales campaigns exposing you to different construction verticals and customer segments.
• Master United Rentals sales tools including our CRM, inventory management platforms, customer portal, and mobile apps.
• Lead high-level sales conversations involving price negotiations and rental contracts.
• Learn proven sales methodologies to deliver solutions and drive revenue growth.
• Participate in local team initiatives and workshops; benefit from feedback through coaching sessions and ride-alongs.
• Track your Sales Development progress via performance metrics and weekly peer rankings.
